In the morning there will be a tour of Shakespeare’s Globe theatre, a walk around Bankside to see the site of the original Globe and a visit to the remains of The Rose theatre, the site of the first performances of Titus Andronicus and the Henry VI plays. After lunch we will be part of the audience for the 1.00pm matinee performance of “King Lear” at Shakespeare’s Globe. David Calder is taking the part of Lear.
AA 306 tutor Owen Gunnell will be in attendance throughout the day and will be happy to discuss any Lear or Shakespearian topics with students.    
Members £26. Member’s guest £29 (includes ticket for “King Lear” and a ticket for the morning tour).  
Meet at the entrance to Shakespeare’s Globe Exhibition, Bankside, at 10.30am (prompt).
