Marylebone grew up around the parish church of St. Marylebone beside the Tyburn stream. Over the years a number of illustrious landowners developed fine houses in squares and terraces and the whole area attracted many interesting people. As well as looking at the development of the area we will explore the High Street and some unusual churches.

Meet on the corner of Oxford Street and Edgware Road by exit 14 of the pedestrian underpass.
The walk will be repeated in the afternoon.
