Autumn programme

AUTUMN PROGRAMME

Our Autumn programme is now complete and you will find details on the following pages. We have arranged an introductory study day for students starting a course in October/November on the 2nd October. These sessions can be very helpful in giving an overview of the course and help you plan the year. There are also a series of Readings for each of the third level Literature courses, a good opportunity to engage with the texts.

The new Greek Myths course appears to be very popular and we have held two successful visits to the British Museum looking at Greek and Roman myths. To continue this theme there is a visit to the National Gallery on the 17th October which will interest those doing the course and also members who have an interest in Art History. Our walks continue to be popular and Val Pretlove will be leading a walk in October based on the Lord Mayor's show. we have also been fortunate in gaining access to the Mansion House a few days later to view the art collection. We are also running a second History study day as the first day proved so popular, again led by Dr Stuart Mitchell.

I hope to see you on some of these visits and good luck to all those currently preparing for their examination
